This variant of the Galaxy Note 8 comes with the same features as the one with 6GB RAM.
Samsung made headlines on Wednesday with the launch of its latest phablet, the Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy Note 8 was launched with 6GB of RAM and three storage variants of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. However, a surprising new variant of the Galaxy Note 8 has now been spotted on TENAA, and it packs 4GB of RAM underneath it.
According to the TENAA listing (spotted by GSMArena), the Galaxy Note 8 with 4GB of RAM will be offered with on-board storage of 64GB. With lesser RAM, this variant could possibly be priced lower than the Galaxy Note 8, which is the most expensive Samsung smartphone so far starting at $929 (Rs 59,600 approximately). Other than the difference in RAM, the TENAA listing shows that the phablet carrying the same set of specifications as the one launched a day ago. In terms of pricing, the Galaxy Note 8 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is predicted to be around 5,600 Yuan (Rs 53,900 approximately).
Samsung is known to launch different variants of its flagship smartphones depending on the markets. For its high selling markets like China and South Korea, Samsung usually beefs up the RAM, so a lower variant of the Galaxy Note 8 may be unlikely. In fact, there are reports suggesting that Samsung would also introduce an 8GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note 8. ALSO READ: Samsung Galaxy Note 8 hands-on roundup: What previews say of the device
